A.T. Kearney Procurement
Solutions Transforms Strategic Sourcing with Launch of eBreviate eSourcing
Suite 5.0i
Fully-Integrated eSourcing Technologies Enable Complete Sharing
of Data Across All Supply Management Modules
PLANO, Texas (April 17, 2003) A.T. Kearney Procurement Solutions,
a unit within A.T. Kearney, the global management consulting subsidiary
of EDS, today announced the launch of its new eSourcing Suite 5.0i,
a fully-integrated web-based application powered by eBreviate that
transforms strategic sourcing to enable complete sharing of data
across supply management modules. The new product line has been
re-engineered from the ground up to provide seamless end-to-end
strategic sourcing capabilities, with a focus on enhanced functionality,
enterprise integration, and customization features to support varying
negotiation strategies and customer look-and-feel requirements.
The redesigned suite easily adapts to existing client environments
to drive streamlined procurement processes and enhanced efficiencies
for enterprise business process transformation initiatives, thereby
accelerating an already impressive return on investment in utilizing
eBreviate technology, historically in excess of 100%. This technology
suite is fully-customizable and integrates data at the level desired
by the customer. The eBreviate eSourcing Suite 5.0i technologies
will allow seamless transfer of data through the Spend Management,
Sourcing Team Tools, RFP, Auction, and Deal Management modules,
putting more powerful information into the hands of procurement
professionals more rapidly than ever before.
Key Features and Benefits
- Seamless sharing of information.
Data is shared seamlessly between separate eSourcing modules,
which can be purchased as a suite or independently.
- Easy integration with external
applications. The eSourcing Suite can handle large data requirements,
such as bulk loading of line-item spend information and smaller
daily requests, such as supplier contact information.
- Greatly reduced event setup time.
Templates and imports allow faster set up and better event management.
- Common security architecture.
Allows for single sign-on capability, a single area for permissions
management, a single place to tie into customer enterprise security
managers such as LDAP (for user authentication), and different
permission levels by product tailored to user roles.
- Buyer-level customization.
Colors and fonts can be changed to match corporate standards.
- I18N internationalization standards.
Multiple languages and currencies can be quickly implemented.
Highlighted Functionality
- Multi-tiered integration.
Integration at multiple levels in the enterprise, from large batch
loading capabilities to XML interface to Excel allows seamless
data sharing.
- Multi-round dynamic negotiations.
Multiple responses to an RFP based on buyer feedback maximizes
collaboration with suppliers.
- Template driven set- up.
Intuitive, template-driven interface facilitates fast auction
builds.
- Supplier weighting. Advanced
weighting capability to automatically improve or penalize a suppliers
bid based on predetermined factors.
- Real-time information exchange.
Real-time bid visibility and instant messaging communication functionality
intensifies competition.
- Unique diversity spend reporting.
Diversity spend reporting and tracking by supplier, either primary
or secondary, or diversity classifications, such as minority-,
women- and veteran-owned businesses.
- Direct vs. indirect spend reporting
dimension. Ability to partition spend as direct or indirect
while retaining ability to analyze integrated spend by supplier
and across organization and location dimensions.
- User-defined business rules to
support spend data cleansing. Client-defined parameters facilitate
spend codification and process repeatability.
