A.T. Kearney Procurement Solutions
Names Michael Sorensen Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Supply Chain Industry Veteran Brings Experience from Manugistics,
Computer Associates and WebPlan to Drive Sales and Marketing Initiatives
PLANO, Texas (July 24, 2002) A. T. Kearney, the global management
consulting subsidiary of EDS (NYSE:EDS), today announced Michael
Sorensen has been appointed vice president, sales and marketing,
of A.T. Kearney Procurement Solutions, the company's eSourcing unit.
With an extensive background spanning nearly 20 years in executive
sales and marketing positions at companies including Manugistics
and Computer Associates, Sorensen has a proven record of surpassing
performance goals, strengthening sales capabilities and leading
revenue growth for
enterprise solutions providers. During his tenure as group vice
president at Manugistics, Sorensen led a global team whose revenue
totaled more than $100 million. Most recently, he more than doubled
revenue in two years as vice president of worldwide sales at WebPLAN,
a provider of Web-based supply chain planning and execution solutions.
Mike's solid understanding of supply chain technologies and
services and the value they offer to reduce costs, save time and
streamline enterprise-level supplier relationships makes him uniquely
suited to lead us in achieving our goals for the next two years,
said Joe Raudabaugh, head of A.T. Kearney Procurement Solutions.
Masterminding effective campaigns targeted to large and mid-market
companies, leading a worldwide sales force, and inspiring C-level
executives to implement world-class resources requires the top-caliber
marketing skills and solid relationships that Mike brings as we
continue to invest in our leadership in the eSourcing software and
services market.
By offering best-of-breed sourcing services and technology,
A.T. Kearney Procurement Solutions allows companies to effectively
aggregate and better manage their spend for comprehensive supply
management, said Sorensen. I'm looking forward to leading
the charge to help the world's best companies drive significant
value for themselves and ultimately their customers by keeping their
own costs low and their supply chains efficient.
Sorensen will work from the A.T. Kearney office in Chicago.
